Along with the development of modern technology and market economy,successfuloperation of modern enterprises deeply depend on its capability of logistics informationsystem. Advanced logistics information system has become important component ofenterprises’s core competitive forces. In order to improve the management level oftobacco logistics, fully implement the scientific approach to development, and face thechallenges of the changes in the global economic environment, the department in chargeof tobacco industry has been striving to promote the management reform and technologyinnovation of tobacco logistics and to conduct the modernization of logistics managementand the upgrading of logistics facilities based on the logistics restructuring andrevitalization plan.Based on the former foundation of logistic information system, this research ofTobacco Logistics information system’s optimization in Hengshui Tobacco Enterprise willbring the GIS and GPS technology into tobacco business and help to meet therequirements of dispatching, navigating and monitoring in tobacco distribution anddelivery such as: The GPS electronic lock will make delivery more safe, the GIS systemwill guarantee the whole logistic procedure. The information technology will be widelyused in optimization of Hengshui Tobacco Logistic system, to ensure the distributionperiod, optimize the information exchange between tobacco factory and customer. Thissystem optimization can improve distribution efficiency, reduce logistics cost, enhancecustomer service and meet the needs of the industry development, finally it cancomprehensively strengthen the core competitiveness of the tobacco industry.
