China’s rapid economic growth, regional economic development gap betweenproblems evident in the context of the three provinces in Northeast China as researchtarget. How to narrow the gap between thethree provinces in Northeast China, realize the coordinated development will need tofind out the reasons of the gap, this paper puts forward the subject. This study is theidea of domestic and abroad research the cause of regional economic disparities ofliterature, summed up the area difference is formed of several main reason, combinedwith northeast area oneself characteristic, validation leads to northeast economy themain reason of difference which to have. According to the analysis, it can beconcluded that the three provinces in Northeast China overall low level of economicdevelopment, drive the driving force of economic development is still labor input, thesecond industry, infrastructure and city change a standard, its economic developmentis still in the primary stage, only the basic factors to do well, on the basis of thedevelopment of the tertiary industry, expand the degree of opening to the outsideworld, realize economy to develop further. About3provinces economy gap, backwardarea should take measures, to learn the advanced experience in economicdevelopment, between provinces should strengthen regional economic cooperation,exchanges, the establishment of regional economic integration. Only through eachrespective active efforts and inter-provincial exchanges and cooperation, to promotenortheast economy coordinated development, promoting the northeast old industrialbase. Therefore, from the content point of view, the paper consists of four parts.The first part: summary on the study of the cause of regional economicdisparities theory, the study of this paper provides theoretical basis; summarize thedomestic and foreign research on regional disparity issue, from domestic and foreignscholars study the method of problem of difference; summarize the domestic andforeign economists on the regional gap of empirical research, then summarized aboutregional gap causes problems currently reached some factors affecting the consensus.The second part: Observation of three provinces in Northeast China since the reformand opening up per capita gross regional product absolute gap and relative gap, thegap of economic development in Northeast of China is more and more big conclusion.The third part: discuss first the three northeastern provinces of economic gapformation reason, selected to represent these causes index, influencing factors ofconstructing research frame; and then calculating the index of coefficient of variation,with per capita GDP of the coefficient of variation is compared, the preliminary drawinfluence factors with per capita GDP correlation; finally through the principal component analysis method, calculate the provincial second, city of industry level,infrastructure and labor input differences is the formation of the three northeastprovinces’ economic development the main reasons for the gap.
