IT operation and maintain management is an management operation activities aim toprotect the normal, safety and efficient of the IT systems, including IT operationsmanagement and IT maintenance management. IT operation and maintain costs management,is the costs management of IT system operation and maintenance.In recent years, the Design Institutes develop rapidly; IT system becomes more and morecomplicated with the continuous expansion of business and the continuing in-depth information. The business has increasing dependence on IT systems; anyfluctuations of the IT system will directly affect the normal conduct of business.Although many design institutes have improved their IT systems, the lack of effectiveIT operation and maintenance system leading to a clear rising trend of the IT operation andmaintenance cost. Traditional service management model cannot be effectively continuousimproved, due to the slow response or higher input costs, resulting in cost burden andreduce the quality of work.This paper selects P Design Institute as the research object, through questionnaires,analyze and summarize the current IT operation and maintenance cost management problemsof P Design Institute; then based on the support of ITIL service process group, improving theIT operation and maintain costs management in four ways--IT operation andmaintenance standards, IT equipment resources configuration, the core information systemsintegration, IT operation and maintain knowledge promotion. Finally, throughquantitative analysis, based on the actual work data, analyzing the feedback of IT operationand maintain cost management in equipment costs, operating costs and labor costs.Eventually figure out the conclusion of a significant upgrade by improving the IT operationand maintenance cost management.The result of this paper will have a positive reference value to the balance of reducingIT operation and maintenance costs and ensure business growth in design institutes.
