The power industry is the foundation of China’s national economic development and social public utilities, which plays an indispensable role in promoting the country’s modernization construction and the building of a harmonious society. For a long time, China’s power system has been implementing highly centralized planned economic system and management mode of combination of government and enterprises, and abuses brought to national economy and social development have already been exposed. For the long-term monopoly of the power industry, problems of electric power enterprises are that service sense is indifferent, service level is not high, service quality can not meet the community’s development and so on.With the reform of the electricity market system and competition of other energy sources, how electricity companies exploit their electricity market has become a key issues to business development. And the traditional marketing concept is insufficient to to resolve the current conflict. To pursue higher economic and social benefits, power supply enterprises must form service-centric marketing concept, improve customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing electricity services, and encourage and guide the user to consume more electricity energy to ensure power supply enterprises develop healthily and continually in the fierce competitive situation.Taking Hohhot power supply company for example, analyzing current situation of the company’s marketing, and its own strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and challenges. Diagnosing the problems of existing marketing system based on the analysis of marketing situation and SWOT. The main issues include unreasonable organizational structure, nonstandard business process, and power quality, service visible display, service process and other service marketing elements. To solve the above problems, designing the service marketing system of Hohhot power supply company in three areas of organizational structure, business process and marketing strategies by combining service marketing theories with the existing research results and explore theories and methods for power companies to carry out service marketing. Designment of service marketing system provides a directive function to some extent for power supply enterprises to proceed with service marketing, and it’s beneficial to improve the service satisfaction of electricity customer, so as to enhance corporate image and market competitiveness of Hohhot power supply company and even of Inner Mongolia power company.
