Due to the vigorous development of knowledge economy in the21st Centry, knowledge workers have become the decisive factor in the expansion of economy and society. Occupying the key positions of corporate finance, research and development, sales and management, knowledge employees may significantly influence the enterprise’s competence through their working achievements and attitudes; the management of modern businesses have recognized the great role the knowledge workers play in operations, challenged by employment attractions, development of enthusiasm, innovation, and intelligence, appraisal of capabilities and contributions; management of knowledge workers’performances is the hot topic for human resource management.The development of logistics is closely related with the operation efficiency and quality of national economy in modern China, and logistics has been the third profit source for companies. Compared with developed nations, however, we have a long way to go in terms of the overall situation of China’s logistics, leaving the capabilities and level of internationalization, informationization and intensification to be improved. It is of realistic significance to explore into the performance evaluation and management of knowledge worker, who are the core for the development of logistics companies.Based on studies of international and domestic literature, the paper introduces related theoretical achievements on features, performances, performance appraisal, and motivation of knowledge employees. In addition, position distribution, organization and remuneration structure are analyzed when taking ZWY Logistics as an example, and on-site surveys and visits result in knowledge staff’s satisfaction index, which helps to make summaries on the impartiality, unfairness and imperfection in performance evaluation systems. Furthermore, a line of optimizing measures in the fields of performance management, administrative behaviors, task performance and contextual performance are suggested based on the theories on motivations, performance and performance management of knowledge staff to address the above issues.
