The current world economic development presents the characteristics of globalization and knowledge economy, as the key factor of enterprise development, human resources, in the management of the company is more and more attention. As a key part of human resource management, performance appraisal is the basis of human resources, and has been accepted and developed rapidly in recent years.Performance appraisal is the key link of human resource management, the effective performance appraisal system is an important way to improve the performance of the staff and realize the enterprise strategy. LY is a company which is in the growth stage, the traditional performance evaluation system of the managers is seriously affected. Therefore, it is the best way to improve the management level and improve the management level of middle managers in LY company.Based on the human resource management, performance appraisal theory as the instruction, using case analysis and questionnaire investigation method, LY company as an example, the managers as the research object, study how to optimize and improve the existing performance appraisal scheme to enhance the level of company performance management and promote the further development of enterprises. After the questionnaire survey was conducted on managers’ performance appraisal satisfaction, it is found that the main problems existing in the performance: management staff performance appraisal system can not meet the enterprise strategic requirements, management staff performance appraisal index design is not reasonable, management staff performance appraisal results by, lack of management personnel on satisfaction of the performance appraisal system and low. The company strategic objectives decomposition, post analysis based on, combined with LY Company business characteristics and working process, based on key performance indicators, using methods of combining quantitative and qualitative indicators of the performance assessment index is improved, makes clear the evaluation index weights using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP). The performance evaluation system has been improved, the performance feedback and performance improvement have been added, and the performance evaluation of the performance appraisal system has been further specified.
