Research On The Evolution Of Sichuan Liquor Industrial Clusters In The Perspective Of Embeddednes

Industry cluster is a special new form of economic organization of the world economy. The core competitiveness of industry cluster and its power come from its dynamic evolution and the specific evolution track which is presented difficult to imitate because of specific embedability. Liquor is a unique style of the world distilled spirits. The liquor industry is a traditional industry of our country. Sichuan Province occupies an important position in the country by its resources advantage and long history of brewing liquor. The liquor industry in Sichuan province is one of the pillar industries. Sichuan liquor industry cluster development is facing a good opportunity, and it can get great development and to be a new situation for regional economic development by catch this opportunity.After review on liquor industry, industry cluster and embeddedness of both at home and abroad, this paper constructs the evolution model of industrial clusters by using life cycle theory. And then analysis Sichuan liquor industry cluster from the industry overview, cluster distribution situation, production situation and cluster structure. After that, this paper analysis Sichuan liquor industry cluster development’s advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threatens by using SWOT analysis method, and figure out Sichuan liquor industry cluster status. Above these analyses, this paper uses life cycle theory to divide Sichuan liquor industry cluster into four stages:the embryonic stage, formative stage, mature stage, and recession or upgrade stage. Then from the embedability angle, this paper analysis different evolutional stage, from social embeddedness, network embeddedness, and geography embeddedness three dimensions to analysis the dynamic cluster embedded and to be embedded, puts forward two possibilities of Sichuan liquor industry cluster development in the future, and builds the evolution model of Sichuan liquor industry cluster.Through the above analysis, this research finds that Sichuan liquor industry cluster has a certain scale; the overall situation is quite well. In the process of evolution, Sichuan liquor industry cluster is continuously embedded in socio-economic environment, and is embedded in the social economic factors also. In the dynamic process of embedded and be embedded, Sichuan liquor industry forms a unique evolutionary track. Sichuan liquor industry cluster is in the early stages of maturity, the next evolution have two possibilities of recession or restructuring and upgrading. At last, this paper puts forward some suggestions such as Sichuan liquor industry cluster should construct cluster production networks to enhance group strength; thorough dig Sichuan liquor culture, embedding in the global production networks; Government must find the position of itself, to promote cluster policies to avoid recession and smooth evolution to stages of transformation and upgrade of clusters.
