The21st century is full of opportunities and challenges. The impact of the financial crisis in2008is not finished yet, according to the data from State Statistics Bureau and the fact, the situation of this year generally downs turn. Under this background, the enterprises have to face more complexities and uncertainties, the owners of enterprises more and more realize the necessity of innovation and revolution. To some extent, Employee creativity is the basis and source of enterprise innovation, the employees with higher creativity could bring better ideas, products and services. At the same time it’s also the fundamental to acquire breakthrough and competitive advantage. Thus how to stimulate the creativity of the staffs to the great extent becomes the focus which the business and academia both care. Of course it’s also the purpose of this thesis.The traditional intelligence based on IQ test makes it possible to put forward the concept of emotional intelligence because of its own limitations. At the same time, it also reflects this new point that emotion has positive impact, which means emotion could make thinking more intelligent. Compared to the inheritance of traditional intelligence, emotional intelligence can be developed by exercise. Actually emotional intelligence has a lot to do with initiatives. So many scholars are quite interested in exploring the importance of emotions and emotional intelligence in both work and study life. Furthermore they hope to find the right path through emotional intelligence to success and provide the instruct for the development of emotional intelligence,Firstly, we introduce the research background, purpose, method, frame and innovation of this thesis. Secondly, we review emotional intelligence, power distance, job embeddedness, staff creativity and the relationship between emotional intelligence and staff creativity. And this makes a solid theory base for experimental research. Thirdly, we define some research variables based on the related theories and put research hypothesizes and model forward. Furthermore we also elaborate the design of questionnaire and the method of data analysis. Last but not least, through sorting all the questionnaires we obtain the valid data and do descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlate analysis and regression analysis to test these hypotheses with SPSS17.0edition. Finally we’ll get our results. Through theoretical and experimental research we got these following results:(1)Staffs with higher emotional intelligence tend to have higher creativity(2)Power distance is a negative moderator in the positive relationship between emotional intelligence and creativityAccording to these above research results, we put forward some management advices at the angle of emotional intelligence. At the end of this thesis, we also point out our research limitations and our outlooks for the future research. We hope we can provide some references for the follow-up research.
