The Research On The Income Gap Between Different Industries In Tianjin

Since the Reform and Opening, the economy development in Tianjin keeps a high speed. The economy construction and social development have made great achievements, and people’s living condition improved a lots. But with the development of economy, the income gap between industries revealed a growing trend in Tianjin. Besides, the income gap between different social groups and industries is more and more obvious. Various groups have different interest demands and the requirement of satisfying is also increasing diversified. This leads to problems of economic circulation, class contradictions, government affair and the heavy employment problem. All of this are still focus of people’s attention. So the studying in the income gap between industries means lots for the steady and economic growth, social harmony and stability in Tianjin.In the theoretical circle, most studies of gap between different industries were descriptive and qualitative analysis, and lack of more persuasive quantitative research results to verify income gap between industries. This paper from the present condition of income gap between different industries, and according the data from 《statistics yearbook of Tianjin city》, through the calculation of extreme difference,extreme values,standard variation, variation coefficient and theil index, which to give a descriptive statistics analysis for the income of industries in Tianjin. Then according to the theil index of the Tianjin time series to forecast the income gap between industries in next few years, and it is still growing.For another integrate19industries of national economic from1995-2009in Tianjin into13big industries, and then, do regression analysis on them through using panel data model of the fixed effects, which finally helps to confirm the main fact that affect the income gap between industries in Tianjin. And the main facts specifically include:capital share, degree of monopoly, labor share and labor productivity.For promoting social fairness,letting the people share the fruits of development and constructing socialist harmonious society,we should look for countermeasures to solve the expanding problem of income gap in Tianjin actively.So, we need to persist in reforming and opening up, maintain stable and rapid economic growth in Tianjin.And the detail under this basement are as follow:First, limit trade monopoly and access competition; Second, reduce differences in human capital;Third, improve the proportion of capital shares of different industries;Fourth, establish and improve the labor market,increase labor productivity; Fifth, strengthen guidance and deeply develop the service sector which related closely with the lives of the residents;Sixth, improve the macroeconomic control system of the wage in enterprise and social security system,and expand the coverage of social security. At last, I really hope this paper can help to solve the problem of income gap between industries in Tianjin.
