The Science And Technology Innovation System Of US To The Enlightenment Of The Innovative National Construction Of China

Economic development is inseparable from the support of scientific andtechnological innovation. After China’s economic reform, China’s economicdevelopment has made remarkable achievements, but compared with developedcountries, there are still significant deficiencies in China’s research investment,personnel training and introduction, and independent innovation capability. In2006, China put forward the great strategy of construction of innovative country,and planned to step into the ranks of the innovative country in2020. This is amajor strategic plan to fully implement the scientific development concept andcreate a new pattern of socialist modernization in China; It is an inevitablechoice to follow the international trends and improve the competitiveness ofChina’s economic. This requires not only a proceed from China’s basic nationalconditions and regard the scientific and technological innovation as the primarytask of development, but also an improvement of the capability of independentinnovation and an improvement of China’s scientific and technologicalinnovation system in order to further promote the construction of an innovativecountry in China.This paper consists of five parts: The first part basically states the reason,value and innovation of the research topic; The second part studies the formationand development of scientific and technological innovation system in the UnitedStates and different periods of American Technology innovation System fromthe perspective of technological innovation system in the United States, andsummarizes the valuable experience that American technological innovationsystem construction gave us; The third part elaborates the existing foundationand conditions of the construction of innovative country, and difficulties andchallenges that building an innovative country will face; The fourth partanalyzes the inadequacies of China’s scientific and technological innovation compared with developed countries; The fifth part, we also can say theconcluding part of this paper, raises our innovative suggestions for scientific andtechnological innovation system in the construction of innovative country inChina through the analysis of the U.S. scientific and technological innovationsystem building.In this study, empirical studies, comparative studies, theory and practicecombination studies are employed in this paper. Based on China’s nationalconditions, we made more systematic scientific studies on the construction ofscientific and technological innovation system in the process of construction ofan innovative country.
