Population aging is tangible in our country, and population aging gravity are to havecatholicity and particularity. Population ageing is bound to increase health care costs, sostudy of relation between population aging and health care system reform is imminent.Age structure changes and the relationship between the medical system reforms is a kindof deeper research, it will enable us to more accurately grasp the changes in populationage structure and the relationship of medical insurance system. To explore therelationship between them to improve the medical insurance system in China has veryimportant significance, when making relevant policy, must consider the objective factthat the aging of the population in our country. Only in this way can we achieve theall-round, coordinated and sustainable development of our society, to create a stable andharmonious society.This paper points four parts: The first part includes the first chapter and secondchapter, the main analysis of this article research background, literature review both athome, abroad and the aging of the population structure characteristics and formingreason in our country at present; The second part includes the third chapter, introducesthe development of China’s medical security system, the effect and the deficiencies andthen through the data analysis, using co-integration test method research an ageingpopulation and the inherent relationship between them, and draw some conclusions; Thethird part includes the fourth chapter, the main medical security system reform process ofmajor western developed countries to provide reference for our country’s medicalsecurity system reform; The fourth part is the chapter five and chapter six, this paper putsforward policy recommendations, and look forward to the future in our country’s medicalsecurity system.The main research results of this paper include: First, the ADF unit root test, China’sper capita GDP and per capita medical expenses of elderly people are non-stationaryvariables, and list the whole order is1;Second, economic growth (GDP per capita)population ageing (65accounted for the proportion of population aged and older) and the medical expense growth (health spending per person) there is a co-integrationrelationship between (that is, the long-term equilibrium relationship between). Medicalcosts in our country the income elasticity of0.67242, less than1, show that China’shealth care is a necessity. The aging population proportion of the output elasticity is2.54298, relative to the growth of the economy, the aging of population growth inmedical costs more influence of our country, so the process of the medical insurancesystem reform in our country should fully consider the factor of population aging, avoidunnecessary restructuring costs.Finally, the paper comprehensive point of view and discourse, this study formed theconclusion. The author thinks that China’s medical security system needs to be furtherdevelopment and improvement, and proposes the corresponding countermeasures andSuggestions. we believe that under the joint efforts of the whole society, social security inChina will be able to meet the needs of society at all levels, and establish social securitysystem suitable to China’s national conditions.
