The Study On Modern Service Industry Agglomeration And Regional Differences In Shandong Province

With the global economy growing trend in knowledge, technology driven, theinternal structure of the services sector has undergone a significant change. Modernservice industry of high-tech, high value-added, has separated from the service sectorand rapid growth to become the important support in modern economic growth.Modern service industry is the core of the whole service and support forces, its levelof development has become an important measure of modernization of the countryand the city, the level of Socio-economic development, competitiveness andinternationalization of one of the signs, so it must be placed on the prioritydevelopment status. Modern service industry agglomeration is bound to achieve thebest state in the service industry after a certain development, urban economicprosperity of our country and the region due to its prominent regional agglomerationadvantages are increasingly becoming important strategic mode, and enhanceinternational competitiveness.Shandong Province as the major economic province and eastern coastal provincehas been the national major agricultural province, large industrial province. But theservice sector is relatively weak, and its development has lagged the economicdevelopment. Service industry internal structure is irrational, excessive proportion oftraditional service industries, modern service industry accounted for too small,showing a small industrial total, low-level structure, less competitive, unbalanceddevelopment, and so on. The lack of modern service industry development hasbecome increasingly obvious constraints on the province’s economy, hinderedShandong forward to the economically strong province by the major economicprovince. This paper analyzes the status of the modern service industry in ShandongProvince, pointed out: expanding the scale of modern service industry, thedevelopment of faster, significantly expanding employment role, constantly optimizethe internal structure, investment in fixed assets increased, gathering further improve the degree. Nevertheless, the modern service industry in Shandong Province, there isstill insufficient: such as the low level of development, the degree of openness is nothigh, the backward development environment, and unbalanced regional developmentand other issues.The article first summarizes the research status of the modern service industry, anoverview of the connotation, characteristics, to build a classification system and itstheoretical foundation. Then, analyze and evaluate the current situation and problemsof the modern service industry in Shandong Province. Secondly adopt the space Ginicoefficient and location quotient to measure the degree of agglomeration of themodern service industry in Shandong Province, the following conclusions:(1)Whether space Gini coefficient or the location quotient index calculation, the modernservice industry in Shandong Province have shown a certain level of agglomeration.(2) Economically developed area of modern service industry agglomeration degree isusually higher.(3) Geographical proximity of the region, the degree of the modernservice industry agglomeration is also roughly the same.(4) Agglomeration andindustry agglomeration degree of modern service industry does not alwaysconsistency. Again, to use the quantitative methods-principal component analysis,evaluate the comprehensive strength of the modern service industry for17cities inShandong Province. This article uses22modern service industry indicators,evaluating draw the rankings of the17cities in Shandong Province, thecomprehensive strength of the modern service industry, and analyze the advantagesand constraints of their regional differences. Finally, in order to improve the currentsituation and problems of modern service industry in Shandong Province, proposedthe relevance and practicality of feasible measures.
