A Study On Influence Of The Change In Manufacturing Agglomeration Level To Economic Growth In Gansu

Industry agglomeration is not only the objective law of industrialization in a country or region, but also plays a very important role in regional economic development. Manufacturing agglomeration is the premise of the regional economic transformation and development, as well as the core of industrial agglomeration, industrial development and adjustment of industrial structrue. As a traditional industrial province in western region of China, Gansu faces the signigicant problems that must be solved as soon as possible, which is how to realize rapid economic transformation and development through industry agglomeration, especially in manufacturing.This paper based on the background and orientation of realizing economic transformation and development in Gansu, and pointed to the influence of the change in manufacturing agglomeration level to economic growth. Making use of related theories and methods of regional economics, development economics, and new economic geography. In the first place, by means of comprehensively and systematically reviewing and analyzing the relevant research literature and data, compares manufacturing conditions of Gansu with the national average level to make a comprehensive summary on the basic conditions of manufacturing development in Gansu; secondly, measuring the location quotient index of manufacturing agglomeration level from the overall and partial manufacturing industry in Gansu; then, by means of multiple regression analysis, analyzes and discusses the contribution of manufacturing agglomeration level to the economic growth in Gansu, as well as the relevant degree of manufacturing agglomeration and economic growth; finally, presents the main conclusion and research prospect of this paper.
