The large-scale oil and gas field Engineering Project is high investment, high technology and high risks Project which needs integrate many resources such as personnel, material, capital and financial time. How to control the Project Schedule and to achieve the Project successfully has always caused the concerns of Project Management Team.Xijiang Oilfield Subsea Pipeline Merge Project is CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Operation) key project in South China Sea which has long project cycle, complex interface. The resources conflict problem often occurs during the implementation process. When using the critical chain technology to work out project schedule, the scheduled progress plan is too long to be implemented due to the excessive safety factor to be added and not be able to solve the project resources conflict efficiently. This article demonstrates concrete research on project scheduling in terms of the project progress, the critical chain technology and brings forward a suit of control system which can solve the resources conflict problem effectively and can ensure the implementation of the project to be in line with the schedule.By summarizing the Project Management Performance of the Xijiang Oilfield Subsea Pipeline Merge Project to induce standard progress on Project Scheduling Management and to recommend the progress planning tools to achieve the project successfully. This article demonstrates positive probe and study on Project Scheduling Management and provides practical reference for CNOOC Oil and Gas Engineering Project.
