Since cloud computing was put forward, it has been a hot topic in academic research area. However, on application aspect, the cloud computing services market started to develop. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are considered to be the most appropriate for the cloud computing services adoption. Therefore, this study took them as the research object, to analyze the influence of SMEs’adoption on cloud computing services by an empirical research. In this paper, we have built the research model, which included three levels and nine variables on influence factors, based on the existing research on cloud computing services adoption, customer value propositions and basic theories/models of information technology adoption. Then we designed our questionnaire and completed our survey on239SMEs. By the analysis of the collected data, we can find the main factors influencing SMEs’adoption on cloud computing service. The research results show that, the characteristics of cloud computing service influence on SMEs’ adoption most. And on this level, tow factors-relative advantage and cost saving are the most important factors influencing SMEs’adoption. On enterprise property level, the variable which was called senior managers’support was proven that it has no significant effect on adoption intention. In addition, we studied control variables also have significant affection on SMEs’adoption intention, which are the enterprises’ objective characteristics, including their scale and industry categories. At last, we summarized this research conclusions and developed some suggestions for the development of cloud computing service on both service providers’and SMEs’view.
