Career success is not only the key contents in research of organization and management, but also the life goal that each one pursuits. Currently, the research of factors that influencing career success both home and abroad mainly starts from three aspects:individual, organizational and social level, in which under the Chinese culture,"relationship" and organizational politics are two crucial factors that can not be ignored. Existing research at home and abroad mostly is just separate studies from the perspective of "relationship", or merely from group of political influence factors of career success, there were few studies considered the "relationship" and organizational politics in research of career success spontaneously.Therefore, this study was based on microscopic political point of view, with the leader-member exchange and supervisor-subordinate relationship as intermediary variables, explored the impact of employees’ political skill on their career success, aimed to understand the fallowing problems more profoundly:how is the political high skill employees achieved their career success? Can get good relationship with leadership is helpful with career success? What about working relationship with the leader and his personal relationships? Are political skills necessary in order to develop good relationship with leaders?Based on this, this study adopts the variables in the study of foreign mature scale in questionnaire, with the grass-roots staffs as the research object for survey data, on the basis of measurement of variables’ reliability and validity, correlation analysis and regression analysis was applied to test the theoretical model. The results show that:(1) political skills and its each dimension has significant positive impact on subordinate’s career success;(2)leader-member exchange and supervisor-subordinate relationship has significant positive effects on subordinate’s career success;(3) political skills and its each dimension has positive impact on leader-member exchange and supervisor-subordinate relationship;(4) the leader-member exchange and supervisor-subordinate relationship plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between subordinate political skills and its dimensions and subordinate occupation success;(5)Leader-member exchange has a positive and significant impact of supervisor-subordinate relationship.The conclusion of this study pointed out the better relationship between employees and leaders, the more likely they can achieve career success, also the use of their political skills will help to improve the relationship with leaders, which directly help employees to gain career success; for the organization, employees with high political skills is the wealth, the career success also shows their high performance, which would be great contribution to the success of the organization. And it can also establish good working and personal relationship with the leaders, which help to strengthen the leadership efficiency and making leaders’ work more smoothly, and then promote the success of the organization, so the organization should pay attention to employee’s political skills in the staff recruitment and training. Therefore, the results of this study have important practical significance to both individuals and organizations.
