Study On The Regional Economic Disparity And Harmonized Development Of Anhui Province

Since the reform and opening up, China has achieved of rapid economic growth for30years, its based on the principle that "let some people get rich first, lead others to get rich" proposed by Mr. Deng Xiaoping. This sentence seems insipid, a basic theory of economics is hidden behind-unbalanced economic development. The trajectory followed by China’s economic development is to give priority to the development of the eastern coastal areas, a great achievement will be made and then the development of the central and western regions can be stimulated. Inevitably, after decades of development, bad situation happened:inequality among regional economic development level, the differentiation of income level. This situation is not only reflected in the whole of China’s economic fundamentals, even in every province, there have been normal conditions of unequal regional development in the province. In the author’s hometown-Anhui province, city and county economic development imbalance have also been in existence. This phenomenon in the process of economic development of regional economy is inevitable, it is the development of the market economy results in a certain period, which has its positive side; in the same time, it exacerbates the conflict in the region, affects the economic development, and it is not conducive to the stability of people’s lives and social harmony. Therefore, coordinated regional economic development is the solution to the economic and social development, the important measures to realize people’s well-being. Anhui Province should adhere to the path of the coordinated development to build the rapid and healthy development of the national economy.Firstly, this paper analyzes some regional economic theory and literature, including the theory of economic growth, regional development imbalance theory, and a brief introduction to the use of empirical research methods. Then, we regard16prefecture-level cities in Anhui Province as units, use the data for10years, calculate the difference of regional economic development in Anhui province and its evolution process. From the result of the calculation, we know that the regional economic differences generally presents increasing trend, then we use the method of clustering analysis and focus on analyzing the spatial characteristics, we find that differences. in regional economic development in Anhui province regional economic show differences in the geographical distribution of gradation. Then, starting from the nature, location, capital, industrial structure, institutional, with the help of the analysis tools we analysis the reasons for that. Finally, this paper draw lessons from the developed areas of economic development experience, combined with the characteristics of Anhui province, coordinated development countermeasure and the suggestion is put forwarded according to he local characteristics of the prefectural-level city.
