Study Of Production Business Process Improvement For K Corporation

As a typical production enterprise, K Corporation exits some problems including parts produce slowly, FG issue capacity limited, shipping notes delay and wrong loading of reworking products.The purpose is fixed above problems of production management with BPI theory, from the dimension of process.At first, models are installed for relative processes (including parts produce, FG R/I, FG stock transfer Information Management and products rework) with flow chart.And then, cause analysis is executed with models. The conclusion is:(1) Packing delay in assemble workshop is the root cause of part produce slowly;(2) Pick capacity limit of forklifts is the root cause of goods issue limited;(3) GR in SAP cannot be timely completed is the root cause of shipping notes delay;(4) Lack of duty description for quality team in product rework process is the root cause of wrong loading.Relative business processes are improved with BPI methods (Change the location of activities, add steps, clear the duty of process), including parts produce and shipping process, FG R/I process, FG stock transfer information management process and products rework process.Finally, improved processed are inspected in production of K Corporation. The result showed that parts produce time reduced at13.16%, the waiting of containers is controlled within6hrs, shipping notes are issued within12hrs after goods loading, and no wrong issue case is found about reworking products.The conclusion is that, production problems (including parts produce slowly, FG issue capacity limited, shipping notes delay and wrong loading of reworking products) are fixed with the method of BPI. At the same time, the process efficiency is increased for produce, logistics, and information management, and the quality management is improved. The marketing competitive capacity is further developed. Its also can be a good reference for the other Corporations to solve the similar production management problems.
