Currently the small and medium-sized enterprises in China have exceeded1200,accounting for above99%of all kinds of enterprises. They created final products and serviceequal to about60%of GDP, playing more and more important role in enhancing the economicand social development of China. However, they are dominated by private enterprises who inrecent years have been confronted with more and more seriously employee turnover. Accordingto relevant statistics, the employee turnover in some small and medium-sized private enterprisesis up to70%, which causes huge loss to them and has been one of the most influential factorshindering their development. Therefore, it is necessary and urgent to analyze its state quo andreasons for the phenomenon, and then propose corresponding measures.According to the above statement, this paper studies the employee turnover phenomenonin small and medium-sized private enterprises by first defining small and medium-sized privateenterprise and employee turnover based on literature review, and analyzing the consequences ofemployee turnover to those small and medium-sized private enterprises by the way of literatureresearch and systemic analysis based on relevant theories and models about employee turnover.The consequences can be both advantageous and disadvantageous, for it can promoteoptimization of personnel structure and energize these enterprises, but would produce increasedcost, weaken their market competitiveness, discourage other staff, breaking continuousproduction and bring the enthusiasm of enterprise’s HR input. Then, this paper analyzes somereasons for employee turnover from the prospective of social factor, enterprise factor andindividual factor, and proposes some measures to handle employee turnover by enterprises, toprovide some suggestions for them.Finally, this paper conducts empirical studies by case study on W company, includinganalysis of its current situation of producing employee turnover and reasons and putting forwardsome measures in accordance with its actual condition.
