21st century is the era of knowledge economy, global economic integration, the eraof high-tech, competition, and the era of people-oriented management. Small and medium private enterprises in China accounted for a pivotal position in the national economy.They are important force to promote China’s economic and technological innovation andthe power source of promoting rapid national economic growth. Company’s core employees hold the key expertise skills and important resources. They are the important resources of increasing the competitiveness of enterprises and keep continuing development. Lossof key employees to the enterprise is often a lot of negative impacts and losses, such as increasing the company’s personnel recruitment costs, affect the normal management, reduce the competitiveness of enterprises, the impact of strategic business development, damage to corporate image, and so on.In this paper, SK Corporation as a platform, sort of the core staff and staff turnover related to the theory, obtained by the research on the status of recent staff losing of SK Corporation, and analysis the main reason of resulting in loss of key employees fromthe organizational level. Investigation by staff departures, low income, development, stability is a major factor in employee turnover. Through the analysis of SK company’s internal management and related policies and systems, the other main reasons goes to the family management concepts, lack of strategic management, training system is imperfect, corporate culture and employee relations problems. Finally, proposing the concrete strategy according to the above reasons correspond to SK from the core staff turnover problems.Hope to provide the reference of small and medium private enterprises in China to retain key employees by this case study. In a competitive market environment, small and medium private enterprises should take key employees as the business fundamental, carefulanalysis of their human resources management, the reasons behind the current situation, fully aware of the need to enhance employee retention, combined with business management, traditional customs and culture, and actively seek to retain employees that fit their own coping strategies.
