Study On The Quality Of Xinjiang Urbanization

The18th National Congress Report put forward that we should take advantage ofthe regional comparative superiority, give priority to promote the development of thewestern region, there are a variety of forms, such as imposing counterpart support,especially to the old revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas andpoverty-stricken areas. Scientific planning urban agglomeration scale and layout,strengthening the industrial development, public service, the ability to absorbingemployment and population agglomeration function in small and medium-sized citiesand small towns. We should speed up the reform of the household registration system,in order to promote agricultural transfer of population urbanization, efforts to achievecomplete coverage of basic public services to the population of permanent residents incities and towns. Under the new situation,19provinces and cities of Middle and Eastsupport Xinjiang, to make sure to promote leapfrog development and lasting stabilityin Xinjiang. Recently the level of economic development in Xinjiang has increasedsignificantly, but the overall urbanization level lags behind the economic developmentlevel and the level of industrialization, it impacts on the development of regionaleconomy and the improvement of people’s living standard.Based on the relevant urbanization research review and theoretical basis, thearticle describes the general situation of the development of cities in Xinjiang, and atthe same time calculates the urbanization rate of Xinjiang and every city inXinjiang,but the way of measuring area population urbanization is too simple andone-sided, therefore, this paper establishes a relatively complete urbanization qualityevaluation system, involving economic development, social development,infrastructure construction, ecological environment and the level of urbanization,Involved in five aspects, add up to19indicators, this article uses principal componentanalysis method, analyses and evaluates the urbanization quality of21cities inXinjiang,then gets scores and rankings. According to the results of the analysis, the article puts forward: the developmentmethod should be scientific and rational allocation of urban resources; take the path ofsustainable development of industrialization and urbanization; build resource-basedcity transition path early; Combined with local actual and characteristics, distinguishareas for development, promote urbanization quality constantly.
