Research On The Mode And Mechanism Of Regional Tourism Cooperation

During recent years, the global tourism industry has experienced rapid development, and the increasingly competitive and declining profit margins make tourism regions turn to regional tourism cooperation. As a result, regional tourism cooperation has become a trend of the development of world tourism. Having experienced attraction competition, line competition, and urban competition. China’s tourism industry steped into the stage of regional synergies and cross-regional competition. Some tourist areas which have geographical proximity, similar type and structure and densely distributed tourism resources, began to cooperate in tourism development in various forms and contents. Overall, regional tourism cooperation is experiencing an unprecedented development momentum. In June2009, the introduction of " the Development Plan of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone" by the National Development and Reform Commission, emphasized the importance of developing tourism economy of the economic zone, and proposed to make the economic zone into a world-class tourist destination. To achieve the goals established by the Plan, regional tourism cooperation is the most appropriate choice of the Guanzhong--Tianshui Economic Zone. The cooperation practice in the region requires effective development models and mechanisms to enhance regional tourism competitiveness and achieve sustainable development. This paper, based on a combination of theoretical analysis and case study, studying the related literature, theory and practice of regional tourism cooperation at home and abroad, combs and summarizes the different models and mechanisms of regional tourism cooperation from various perspectives and different levels. On the basis, the dissertation analyses the present regional tourism cooperation situation of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone, and based on the regional characteristics and development stage, and builds the regional tourism cooperation mode of the economic zone containing the subject mode, the spatial structure mode, and the cooperation content mode, as well as the regional tourism cooperation mechanism of the economic zone consisting of the dynamic mechanism, the coordination mechanism, the benefit-sharing and compensation mechanism, and the sustainable protection mechanism. Overall, this study has certain theoretical and practical significance to the regional tourism cooperation.This paper has seven parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the research background, research objectives, research contents, research methods. The second part is the research review of regional tourism cooperation at home and abroad. The third part is the theoretical basis of the regional tourism cooperation, providing the theoretical basis for the study. Part Four analyses the present regional tourism development situation of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone to identify the problems, in order to build specific models and mechanisms. Part Five combs different cooperation models from various perspectives, and finally based on the characteristics of the region, builds the adapted cooperation models for the economic zone. Part Six proposes multiple cooperation mechanisms in order to ensure the smooth progress of cooperation. Part Seven is the conclusion.
