Research And Development Of A Mobile Personal Knowledge Management System Based On Context-awareness

Mobile personal knowledge management is a new knowledge managementconcept and approach. With personal knowledge management system, individuals canstore and manage effeciently their own knowledge and increase competitiveness.However, existing mobile knowledge management systems are relatively independent,simple, and lack of context analysis. As a result, users cannot effectively manage,reuse and share knowledge. This paper first proposes the concept ofcontext-awareness personal knowledge management and a framework for mobilepersonal knowledge management system, then describes in detail the mobile context,the context-integrated knowledge model, the key technologies and system logicarchitecture. Based on the framework, this paper finally presents the design andimplementation of a mobile babycare personal knowledge management system basedon context-awareness.The main work of this paper includes the followings:First, on the basis of redefining the context in the level of multidisciplinary, thispaper divides context information into different dimensions, and then proposes acontext-integrated knowledge model.Second, with the analysis of mobile personal knowledge management and its keytechnology, this paper presents an overall logical architecture of mobile personalknowledge management system based on context-awareness.Third, using related development kits and tools, this paper builds a mobilebabycare personal knowledge management system based on context-awareness,which consisted of knowledge management back-office system and mobileapplication system.The research result shows that mobile personal knowledge management systemhas mobility, timeliness, using of context to acquire knowledge and othercharacteristics. With the mobile personal knowledge management system based on context-awareness, individuals can obtain the necessary knowledge or services timelyand manage personal knowledge effectively.
