Ningbo-Zhousban Port And Shanghai Port’s Port Logistics Competitiveness Evaluation

Port as the connection of the land and sea, transportation and resources of theinternational flow of important stopover, plays a pivotal role in social and economic.With China’s rapid economic development, the number and size of China’s ports havea faster growth. Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and Shanghai Port all belong to the YangtzeRiver Delta economic circle, the competition between them is fierce: Ningbo Port hasalways been a subsidiary of shanghai port, the international status is far fromShanghai Port, but it has water depth conditions which Shanghai Port unmatched. In2006, Ningbo Port and Zhoushan Port completed the integration. In2011, approvedconstruction of the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port areconducive to the integration of advantageous resources, to be a world-class port;Shanghai Port has always been an important port in China and global, has theadvantage of location and resources, water depth has been the defect of ShanghaiPort,so it establish the Yangshan deep-water port in Zhoushan to ease dilemma.However, the competition between the two ports will lead to redundant constructionand waste of resources, is not conducive to sustainable development.This article is a study for Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and Shanghai Port’s port logisticscompeting relationship. Firstly, based on the influencing factors of port logistics expertscoring method to determine the competitiveness evaluation index system, and the useof statistical factor analysis method, two port logistics competitiveness from theperspective of quantitative analysis to evaluate and quantify the actual reference indexto explore the competing modes of the two-port. After quantitative analysis revealsNingbo-Zhoushan Port and Shanghai Port has relative advantages and disadvantages,and the advantages and disadvantages between complementary characteristics. Providea reference for the cooperation of the two ports.To conclusions of this paper consists of four aspects. First, establish a portlogistics competitiveness evaluation index system of port logistics scale of operation, infrastructure, management conditions, hinterland economic level and thedevelopment potential of five20evaluation. Secondly, according to the factor analysisof the two ports logistics competitiveness Empirical Analysis, Shanghai in the scale ofoperations, infrastructure, management status, hinterland economic level anddevelopment potential score slightly higher than the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port,Ningbo-Zhoushan Port in the main channel depth of subdivision factor score, andimport and export growth rates higher than the Shanghai Port, the strength of the twoports quite complementary advantages. Thirdly, the proposed competing modes,including strategic alliances as the core of the three competing rules of the game, thesystem of strategic alliances, as well as risk control mode. The innovation of thispaper is mainly reflected in the choice of port logistics competitiveness evaluationsystem and the two ports cooperation model.
