The Research About Guilingji’s Production Techniques And The Protection Of Heritage

The Guilingji now has a400-year of history. In2004, the Guilingji was dentified as national security breed by Ministry of national science and technology and the State Secrecy Bureau. In2008, the traditional producting techniques of the Guilingji was approved to be the Chinese intangible cultural heritage by the State Council. The studies on the Guilingji shows that this medicine has positive effects on improving the physical and mental functions, modulating the nerves system, promoting the metabolism of human body. So far, the directions of the researches on the Guilingji were focused on its pharmacological mechanism and curative effect. But its production process was rarely studied in detail. The improvement of the production process of Guilingji can’t adjust to the pace of modern development due to the lack of innovation, which makes the enterprises develop slowly and poor competitiveness. At the same time, the traditional production process of Guilingji is confronted with, just as other traditional manufacturing process, the dilemma of no inheritance. On the occasion of Shanxi province becoming a" comprehensive reforming district, the investigations in the development of the manufacturing process of Guilingji will be conducive to carrying out the Shanxi drug strategy and have important significance in promoting the transformation and leapfrog development of Shanxi province. Meanwhile, the studies of the unique production process also have inestimable meaning to the development of pharmaceutical technology.In this paper, on the basis of the above background, we compared different production processes of the Chinese intangible cultural heritage——Guilingji. We obtained information of Guilingji from the literatures, and reviewed its historical origins, followed by field survey and visiting the traditional handicraftsman of Guilingji. Then we analyze and research on its development of ancient and modern production technology. From the analysis and researches, we obtain the necessity of protecting and inheritance of the traditional production process of Guilingji. We point out that there are some problems in the current development of production process of Guilingji. Then come to the conclusion, we put forward some suggestions and countermeasures on how to inherit, protect and promote the production process ance of Guilingji.
