Under the new requirement of "moral education",the field of mathematics education also pays more attention to mathematics cultural education,so as to achieve the effect of educating people with culture.Mathematics drama is a new form of mathematics cultural education.It gives full play to the educational value of mathematics culture in practical activities and improves students' cultural literacy in teaching and fun.East China Normal University has accumulated ten years of practice in the field of mathematics drama,initially formed the education model of mathematics drama practice activities,and explored and practiced this model in the mathematics expansion course of primary and secondary schools.In order to give better play to the educational value of mathematics culture and carry out educational practice activities such as mathematics drama more effectively,this study intends to adopt theoretical and practical research,focus on mathematics cultural education and mathematics drama practice activities,and put forward the research questions of this study:(1)What is the connotation and value of mathematics cultural education?(2)What is the impact of mathematics drama practice activities on students?In the literature research,based on the analysis of the connotation and educational value of mathematics culture,we define the connotation and educational value of mathematics cultural education in this study.In the practice research,the practice activities of the mathematics drama The geometric life of Shiing-Shen Chern ? are selected as the research cases.The researchers study the four stages of the practice activities of the mathematics Drama: In the practice preparation stage,the theme of the script was determined and the educational value of the characters was analyzed.In the mathematics drama practice stage,students were recruited and rehearsed.From 2018 to 2021,12 performances were completed and drama performance videos were recorded.In the evaluation and feedback stage,based on the results of literature research,a questionnaire and interview outline for the educational value of mathematics drama were compiled,and questionnaires and interviews were completed by the students who participated in the practice activities of the mathematics drama and those who watched the mathematics drama,and the feedback of the relevant students was collected and analyzed.In the stage of summarization and improvement,based on the experience of 12 practice activities and feedback data,the optimization suggestions for carrying out mathematics drama practice activities were summarized and a more effective mathematics drama practice education model was formed.Based on literature research and practice research and a comprehensive analysis of the data,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Mathematics cultural education is an activity or process that transforms mathematics culture from a static form to a dynamic educational form for the purpose of spreading mathematics culture and improving cultural quality.Its educational value is mainly reflected in four aspects: the scientific value and application value of the discipline itself,the moral education value and the aesthetic education value of the cultural characteristics of the discipline.(2)The universal influence of mathematics drama practice activities on students:(a)learning about the history of mathematics in China and being inspired patriotism;(b)generating mathematics sensibility and being provided motivation for learning;(c)feeling the rational spirit and sticking to what you love.The special impact of mathematics drama practice activities on students:(a)Different types of students are affected differently.The cast members have improved their comprehensive quality in practice.(b)Students of different majors are affected differently.Students majoring in basic mathematics can feel the scientific value more,students majoring in mathematics education can feel the application value more,and students majoring in liberal arts can feel the aesthetic education value more.
