Since ancient times, the ocean has various kinds of ocean fishery resources, mineral resources,energy and others. Ocean development is not only the necessary means of relieving thecontradictions of land and adding land demand, but also the inevitable result of scientific research.The process of understanding and developing ocean is a constantly updating and developing processof a series of ocean high technology such as ocean monitoring technology, ocean developingtechnology, ocean general technology and others. The ocean monitoring technology is the necessityof general technology used in practice, but also the basis and security of ocean developingtechnology.Traditional Ocean monitoring technology relies on manual measuring to obtain the first-handocean data, or taking the samples to the lab for analysis. This kind of method has become more andmore difficult to meet the growing requirements of ocean monitoring technology. Ocean automaticmonitoring technology is a new integrated technology which contains mechanics, electronics,communications, physics, chemistry, geology and other aspects of research field, relying on thistechnology, we can obtain ocean data, at the same time, the technology greatly reduce the human,material and financial resources.This research starts with the current development situation of ocean automatic monitoringtechnology, and bases on the actual need of research project. First, the monitoring parameters andtechnological indexes of the ocean monitoring system are confirmed, and then the overall scheme ofthe ocean monitoring system is formulated. Lastly, the overall scheme is divided into severalindividual sub-modules according to their function.According to the three-dimensional ocean monitoring composition, the automotive monitoringplatform system is divided into two parts, one is on the sea surface and the other is on the seabed.The platform on the seabed integrates several commercial data acquisition devices, the platform onthe sea surface equips with several modules, such as solar-powered module, remote communication,floating module, GPS positioning, physical and chemical data acquisition device, etc. Among them,the devices in the platform on the seabed work in self-contained way, while, the device in theplatform on the sea surface works as remote communicating way through GPRS network of CMCC.In the research, the physical and chemical data acquisition device is a key part, which containsthe hardware circuit design, the software design and the mechanical structure design, etc. Thehardware circuit design contains several parts, such as the low consumption design of the system,the power convert design, the analog signal acquisition and processing, the A/D conversion, the data store, the real time circuit, the communication circuit, etc. The software design contains the uppercomputer program design, the lower MCU program design and the communication protocolbetween upper computer and lower MCU of the data acquisition device. What’s more, themechanical structure is also indispensable which include the shell design and the shell cover design.After finishing assembling the system, plenty of the laboratory experiments are accomplished,and some design parts are improved according to the feedback, In the last, the whole system isapplied in the ocean. A month later, enough data is collected, which is real, and with the referencevalue, series of experiments show that the whole system works well and accomplishes the expectedgoals.
