With the continuous expansion of China’s industrial scale, and the PM2.5which alwayskeep a high level in the cities, cause serious pollution of indoor air. Due to the status that theexisting air quality monitoring products are expensive, monofunctional, and weak applicability,the indoor air monitoring is taken as a breakthrough point in this paper. To protect people fromterrible indoor air quality, portable monitor for indoor air quality monitoring and improvement isstudied in details.In order to realize the goal, this paper has carried on the research as following: Firstly,requirements analysis about the indoor air quality monitor is investigated in details, also thesystem overall design scheme is put forward, and several key technologies which been used inthe system such as μC/OS-II, μC/GUI and Zigbee are thoroughly analyzed. Secondly, accordingto the needs analysis, the concentration of formaldehyde, dust concentration, CO2concentration,and temperature and humidity sensor have been selected, and display module and power modulecircuit have been designed, so hardware development of the system has been completed. Thirdly,the drives of system modules, the decoding of JEPG picture and the design of interface havebeen implemented based on the embedded real-time operating system μC/OS-II and embeddedgraphics system μC/GUI. Lastly, the integrated test of the indoor air quality monitor based on theSTM32by module and the analysis of the testing results has been accomplished, and themeasuring accuracy of each functions are obtained.After a series of rigorous system testing, the designed system can reach the expected goals.The results show that the system has many characteristics such as high measurement precision,low cost, rapid response, user-friendly interface and small size, etc. Compared to conventionalair monitors, the system has functions of electronic album and ventilation equipment switchcontrol through the Zigbee wireless module, which prove that the system is more practical thanexisting similar products at a lower price.
