With the concerns about nuclear safety caused by Japanese tsunami, countries re-examinethe dependence on traditional energy. In case of doubled coal production and demand in thenation, traditional mine monitoring is unable to meet the large-scale and information technologyenterprise needs. Mine disaster, the timely of underground disaster warning and rescue,affected the national image and social harmony and stability seriously. To achieve the objectivesof management with information technology, automated production and intelligent warning inthe whole mining area, the study design a mine monitoring system based on WiFi technology.Wireless mesh network is the new one evolved from current WLAN standard. It has apowerful wireless coverage and good scalability performance. Furthermore, it achieve muti-hopin wireless network after ensure low latency and power demand during transporting. At the sametime, it reduce the cost of initial construction of network system and expansion greatly.Firstly, the paper introduces traditional wireless network standard and analyzes thecharacteristics and shortcomings of existing wireless network protocols and network topologiesway. On this basis, in order to meet the special environment of the mine, do more in-depthanalysis of wireless mesh network networking structure, characteristics and advantages of thesystem performance. Then through the analysis of mine communication business model,proposed the MAC layer protocol that meets the system requirements and client wireless routingprotocols based on the existing agreement.We complete system networking using HSX that Strix company products, then, configurateand manage it with network plug-in, as well as basic test. Finally,we analog Mine mobilenetwork terminal using samsung S3C6410development board of the master chip, configuraterequired driver modules and transplant lightweight WEB Server thttpd that let mobile terminalsupport to provide the basic WEB data access and management functions after the completion ofthe basic U-boot transplant, the production of file system and the kernel cut.System meet the expect of design after the test, achieve a multi-hop network performance andmaintain low latency and power consumption. Automated network configuration and repairfunctions as well as convenient WEB management, provide technical support for the entiremining area communication, laid the foundation for a better vision of digitizing mine andintegrated management of information technology enterprise.
