Electrochemical machining (ECM) is widely used in aviation, aerospace, machinery, electronics and many other industries. Electrochemical machine tool is one of key equipment in the ECM system. This paper designs and analyzes the DJK3280large machining machine tool. The content and outcomes is following:(1)According to the principle and characteristics of the electrochemical machining, the pressure of the machine tool is analyzed when the machine tool works in20000A and2.5MPa. According to the required strength of machine tool, the general layout of machine and the relationship between components is designed. Then this paper analyzes the key components and their features and functions.(2)The finite element model of the machine tool is established by the software of ABAQUS. Then the static analysis is carried on and stress-strain distributions of the machine tool are gained. We draw the conclusion that the stiffness of machine tool is enough.(3)Get the natural frequencies and the first six vibration modes of the machine tool. The vibration mode charts illustrate its overall dynamic stiffness and mass distribution is more balanced, machine tool has good dynamic characteristics, although there are some partial vibration modes.(4)According to the topology optimization theory, the tailstock, machine bed and spindle box are optimized by the software of HyperWorks and ABAQUS. And the design of machine tool is improved based on the result. By the comparison of finite element analysis results between the former and latter, it shows that each part of the structure deformation become more reasonable and the dynamic characteristics of machine tool is improved.
