Special machine tool is specially designed and manufactured for specific machining object. It is applied for massive production.The production efficiency of special machining tool are much higher than universal machine tools.Special machining tools are widely used because of the advantage of mass production.high efficiency and low cost.It is very meaningful to research and develop highly efficient special purpose machine tool.This paper does deep research on the machining process,based on some specific type,designing a type of double-tool vertical lathe for machining flanges/which contains the mechanical structure design of main parts, static and dynamic analysis, structure optimization and control system design of machine tool. The main contents are as follows1.According to the machine process of the flange that we want to process,preferred motions are gotten and function theory has been analyzed.two general schemes and corresponding function structure schematics have been established.The preferred plan has been selected through comparison.2.Software autocad and soildworks have been used to establish the principle diagram of the two-dimensional and three-dimensional.The design of the main parts of the machine tool including column,tool rest,workbench,main transmission system and feeding system have been designed which have been the three-dimensional model for the static and dynamic analysis of the parts and structure optimization.3. With the help of ANSYS Workbench, the static analysis and dynamic analysis of the mainshaft,beam,box have been done,the stress,deformation condition and the former six order vibration modal have been obtained.An optimization plan have been obtained through the analysis of the former six order modal. Under the condition of the stiffness been guaranteed,The optimization plan reduce the weight of the beam.4.The working principal of the special double-tool vertical lathe for machining flanges has been analyzed,According to the control demand of the machine tool,The hardware and software of the control system of the machine tool have been done.The hardware consist of DKC-X200 motion controller,motor driver,motor and ant-collision detection equipment.The program was done in the DKC-X200 software in the windows operation system.According to the machine process of the flange needed to be machined and the requirement of practical production,a type of double-tool vertical lathe for machining flanges including hardware and software have been done,static and dynamic analysis of the main mechanical parts and structure optimization have been done.Compared with the general machine tool,the special digital double-tool vertical lathe for machining flanges extremely improve the efficiency of the flange machining and machine precision,having better economic benefit.
