As the development of chemistry industry, hazardous chemicals are being produced and applied and stored increasingly, especially in the fields of petroleum and chemical industry. Meanwhile, many reasons will result hazardous chemicals leakage and phase change and diffusion, such as pressure vessels and storage tanks and pressure pipes fatigue fracture, even if pressure vessel operator error and so on. More and more accidents have taken place, which brought a serious threat to the property and safety of the country and the people. Therefore, the study of hazardous chemicals is a growing concern. In fact, many accidents are pressurized or frozen storage of liquid release in the petroleum and chemical plants. They will evaporate in a short time and eventually reach the vapor-liquid equilibrium. Therefore, there are many factors to affect the hazardous chemicals leakage and phase change and diffusion, so the mechanism is complex. This study would provide important guiding significance for the prevention of accidents and the rescue measures. In this paper, the leakage and diffusion of hazardous chemicals with phase change in plant house were simulated with the CFD code when wind direction was changed. With consideration of the latent heat of liquid phase change, the hazard area at different time was analyzed. We would apply DPM mathematical model to predict the characteristics of temperature and velocity and concentration distributions. The research results showed that wind direction would change the distribution of flow field in plant house. When wind direction changes, flow field would redistribution and the turbulence intensity of flow field would also change.Meanwhile, we also analysis the different factors about hazardous chemicals leakage and phase change and diffusion, such as wind speed, wind direction, leakage rate, equivalent diameter and environmental temperature and so on. The research results showed that different factors had different influence degree on diffusion speed of CH3OH and hazard area. They would interact and combine effect on hazardous chemicals leakage and phase change and diffusion.
