The diffusion of the oil gas and toxic gas is the most common safety accidents of the petrochemical industry. Oil gas and most of the toxic would diffuse along the ground because it’s heavy density. When human body inhales the toxic gas, it would lead poisoning accident, and a mixture of the gas and air would explode when meets the fire. Although petrochemical industry focus a lot on this problem, the efficient prevention and control measures and emergency rescue plan are difficult to be built because of the leak of the available data. It would lead grate lost once the accident happened. So it’s very necessary to study on the diffusion of the oil gas and toxic gas.The article analyses the leakage diffusion of the oil gas and toxic gas by means of the experimental test, numerical simulation method and risk indicators. Firstly, it determines the risk indicators of oil gas and toxic gas through collecting existing information and the explosion limitation of oil gas experimental test. At the same time, it also testes the volatilization rate of oil gas and analyses different oil also with temperature influence on volatilization rate. Based on these information, the article confirms the flow of leakage gas. Secondly, the test of gas leakage diffusion is made that the carbon dioxide is used in an small-scale indoor test. By the test, the density of carbon dioxide about the different release flow, release point height, the release source form is measured. Besides, the influence of different factors on emissions and the laws of heavy mass gas leakage diffusion is analyzed. Thirdly, it builds a 3D geometry model of the gas leakage diffusion, with the help of FLUENT software to simulate carbon dioxide gas leakage diffusion test, contrasting the result of the experiment and numerical simulation, verifying the accuracy of numerical simulation, and on this basis carrying out the leakage diffusion numerical simulation of hexane and hydrogen sulfide gas in various conditions. Then, the leakage diffusion of the hexane and hydrogen sulfide is analyzed on the basis of the above simulation results combined with the corresponding risk indicators, and getting that the influence factors of diffusion includes velocity, flow, and release source height. Finally, according to the simulation results, isolation protection technology safety space as an effective measure was been putting forward, when oil and gas and toxic gas leakage.In this paper, oil gas and toxic gas leakage diffusion test and simulation results are in conformity with leakage diffusion theory,and risk indicators as the analysis of the leakage diffusion standards provides a new analysis method for oil gas and toxic gas leakage diffusion research. The leakage diffusion risk rules from the study and the isolation protection technology safety space has the certain reference value for safe operation and maintenance of the petrochemical enterprise and certain guiding significance to control the leakage accident on-site.
