Meaning and purpose: Grape seeds are the major by-product of grape processing industry,especially wine-making industry. In light of increase about the grape seeds quantity, improperhandling as well as low utilization, the grape seeds of red wine grape variety called”Meili”was taken as raw material, then, its CP-GSSP(cold-pressed grape seeds superfine powder)was used to study on nutritional compositions and vivo antioxidation. The purpose of thisstudy was to provide scientific basis for reusing of grape seeds and cold-pressed oil cake.Contents and methods:(1) Take the non-oil extracted grape seeds superfine powder as CK group, the protein,crude fibre, crude fat, amino acids, Vitamin A and E, TP and PCs were detected. Detectionresults were compared in order to primarily assess the reuse value of CP-GSSP.(2) At the same time as building D-galactose aging mice models, CP-GSSP low, mediumand high dose groups, VE group, aging model group and normal control group wereintragastric administered with CP-GSSP of different doses, VE, edible oil, edible oil,expectively. This experiment lasts for45days. Then, morphology level (body weight, activity,coat color and density, defecation, morphology of organs and organ coefficients) andbiochemistry level (the content of MDA, the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in heart, kidhey,liver, brain and serum) were both considered for evaluating the vivo antioxidation ofCP-GSSP.Results:(1) Analysis of compositions: Compared with CK group, CP-GSSP was rich in manykinds of nutritional compositions: the contents of protein, crude fibre and total animo acidswere11.11%,37.1%and5.52%which were higher than10.16%,31.4%and5.01%in CKgroup, respectively. While the crude fat and vitamin E were11.03%and12.19mg/kg whichwere a little lower than17.16%and14.10mg/kg existed in CK group, respectively.Furthermore, the content of TP in CP-GSSP was8.29%and its PCs accounted for2.58%compared with CK group, this index showed a similiar level.(2) Analysis of antioxidation at morphology level: Under the aging condition induced byD-galactose, the mice of CP-GSSP groups, especially medium and high dose groups, showedcommon characteristics: better skin elasticity, brighter coat color and better color density as well as stronger activity. Furthermore, there were no pathological changes of heart, kidney,liver and brain. The results demonstrated that CP-GSSP can siganificantly suppress vivoantioxidation induced by large amount of D-galactose without poisonous effect andside-effect. Therefore, CP-GSSP had a better vivo antioxidation estimated from morphologylevel.(3) Analysis of antioxidation at biochemistry level: CP-GSSP can improve the SOD andGSH-Px activity to different levels in heart, kidney, liver, brain and serum of aging micecaused by D-galactose, meanwhile, CP-GSSP can reduce the content of MDA to differentlevels in serum and the organs listed above, it turned out that the research result of vivoantioxidative experiment was positive, thus the results demonstrated that CP-GSSP had astrong vivo antioxidative activity. Compared with VE group, CP-GSSP medium dose grouppresented a stronger vivo antioxidative activity, it demonstrated that proper dose of CP-GSSPcan siganificantly resist oxidative stress and eliminate free radicals, and the vivo antioxidativeactivity of CP-GSSP was better than VE used in this study.Overall, all of the three doses ofCP-GSSP presented certain degree of vivo antioxidation, medium and high dose groupsshowed a most efficient effect, thus being estimated with the best vivoantioxidation(especially the medium.) from biochemistry level.Conclusion:CP-GSSP owns a better nutritional value and health protection function for its aboundantand effective compositions. Meanwhile, CP-GSSP could inhibit the lipid peroxidation andimprove the activity of endogenous antioxidases of aging mice caused by D-galactose, it canalso express a better antioxidative and anti-aging effect. Therefore, CP-GSSP possesses anexcellent reuse value and great application prospect.
