Taking Shanxi Province science research project "based on ZIGBEE technology of tailings dam safety monitoring and warning system of one of the important part of tailings dam is dry beach length monitoring as the main content in this thesis,gradually analyzed the current situation of the tailings and the cause of the accident has various unfavorable factors,the damage form and tailing dam dam safety analyzed the mechanism is discussed,especially this paper involves the tailings safety an important indicator of dry beach length monitoring it as the core content and this argument,and then through the contrast shows that digital image processing in the dry beach length monitoring the advantages,take the analysis of how to use digital image processing technology of its own characteristics as key point to achieve our goals,combined with the project of other monitoring unit system to construct a tailings monitoring system framework,for monitoring system of equipment selection analysis,we will eventually be able to in the actual engineering tailings in a complete set of monitoring the application of the system.The thesis mainly contains the following aspects:(1)The structure of the tailings on the mechanism and the safety of the tailings in our country present situation, analyzes the main problems of the tailings safety and safety monitoring and warning system in the domestic and foreign development situation, and then according to the main features and factors for establishing reasonable tailings dam safety monitoring and warning system in the selection of monitoring unit are analyzed, so as to use appropriate methods to different monitoring part of real-time monitoring;(2)For domestic security monitoring and warning system and the current development status of the tailings safety monitoring of the specific requirements, combined with the discussion of the tailings dam dry beach length monitoring part, is proposed based on digital image processing dry beach length measurement method. At this stage of the tailings dry beach length monitoring by reservoir level and utilize geometric methods to achieve, but this method has limitations and error, this paper through the analysis of the accident caused by a variety of factors, the tailings was determined as dry beach length monitoring is an important indicator of the monitoring unit system, and the digital image processing technology of their own advantages and development trend, through the experimental demonstration and to determine the feasibility of using this method;(3)Through the digital image processing technology will take tailings dam dry beach by image binary processing, make originally complex image become simple processing, also if resolution permitted, we can maximum distinguish between dry beach and water surface line, and then with the binary of image analysis and processing, for the aid of dry beach target function, so as to get the exact dry beach length data, at the same time we can also ensure real-time monitoring and then reduce unnecessary errors.
