Pneumoconiosis is a kind of occupational disease, generally exists in constructionindustry,especially the silicosis, once the infection cannot be cured, what can do isonly slowly waiting for death, it is serious harm to the life and health of workers.Therefore, dust control and the prevention of pneumoconiosis is a very important link inconstruction industry. This article through the domestic and foreign relevant literatureand interviewing and collecting dust samples on the construction site, summarized thehigh dust concentration construction process, at the same time, this paper puts forwardthe concept of safety area in the workplace, provides reference date for the workers inthe construction industry when engaged in the related process, fully understand the dustconcentration around their own situation, and combine dust protective measures toeffectively protect their safety, far-reaching significance.Through a series of questionnaire survey and interview on the construction site,this article summarizes the common high concentration of dust in construction process,including excavation, rock drilling and breaking, construction waste disposal, soil nailand rock bolt, cement mixing, cutting, grinding, concrete drilling and breaking, manualdemolition and heavy equipment demolition, if workers are engaged in the process, weshould pay more attention to strengthening protection.At the same time, in view of the high concentration of dust working process,collecting dust samples in the construction site, and getting the respirable dustconcentration and silicon dust concentration through the experimental analysis, theexperimental data both for individuals and units have very important reference value.Verified by SPSS statistical analysis, the data also has a certain regularity, which obeythe lognormal distribution.Using FLUENT to simulate the high concentration dust working process in theworkplace. Because the process is more, impossible to simulate one by one, this paperbased on the working process of rock drilling and breaking, create the correspondinggrid model in GAMBIT, and set the boundary conditions, this paper adopts the viscousmodel and discrete phase model (DPM) in gas-solid two phase flow. We get the dustconcentration distribution along the path with the help of FLUENT and in the form ofgraphics, and then combined with the permit exposure limit of dust concentration both domestic and abroad to determine the safety work area. At the same time, put forward aseries of protective measures to provide a reference for the builder and workers, as faras possible to avoid the occurrence of pneumoconiosis.
