How to control the molecular architectures and the properties of functional metal-organic coordination complexes become more and more popular topic to chemists. Synthesis of novel organic ligand is a very important step in the metal coordination polymer self-assembly process. This paper introduces a series of boron imidazoles organic ligand has been synthesized, and using synthesized novel organic ligands with different metal ions in the solvothermal condition, a variety of novel structure of the metal organic coordination polymers can be prepared, Crystal structure analysis and physical properties of some compounds have also been studied.Compound{Cu6l3[BH(im)3]g}(OH)(H2O)(1) is a cage polymer, with the metal ion copper(II) and prior synthetic three imidazole potassium borohydride KBH(im)3coordination synthetic, cage and cage is connected by iodine, forming a three-dimensional framework, the compound is a six connection of PCU topology structure. We studied a variety of gas adsorption test on compound (1).Compound{3[Cu6(BHim3)8(OH)2(DMF)4]?2(PMo12040)}(2) is based on the compound (1) which added polyoxometalates phosphomolybdic acid (H3PMo12O40) obtained a three dimensional polymer, which was grouped by a regular dodecahedron cage and the hanging around in the non coordination object polyoxometalates.The skeleton of Compound (3) Cu2[BH(im)3]4and compound (4) Cd[BH(im)3]2are isomorphic, both are made by three imidazole potassium borohydride respectively with the metal copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd) bridge even gain2D framework polymers,2D layer were connected by metal and ligand, the layer and layer arrange parallel.Compound{[H(BH(mim)3)]2?[H4Si(W3O10)4](DMF)}(5) consists of three methyl imidazole potassium borohydride and silicotungstic acid [H4Si(W3O10)4] coordination gained polymer, polyoxometalates silicotungstic acid was linked through hydrogen bonding in organic ligands around, gaining parallel arrangement of zero dimensional, which packed to form the three dimensional frame structure. All of the complexes were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (PXRD), elemental analysis.The experimental results show that we obtained a number of interesting metal organic coordination polymer, on the base of synthesis boron imidazoles organic ligand. we have a more in-depth understanding withthe metal organic skeleton compound’s synthesis structure and gas adsorption performance. For research and development the effective gas adsorption, catalysis, chiral separation properties of MOFs provide theoretical basis and experimental basis.
