People use the tobacco stems, tobacco dust and tobacco scraps which generated in theprocess of cigarette production as the raw material, through the different industrial productionprocesses make it close to the tobacco sheet, and then directly use for cigarette production. The tobacco sheet of paper making is not only able to raise the utilization of tobacco wasteraw material, while also plays an increasingly important role in increasing the cigaretteburning, reducing harmful ingredients in tobacco and cigarette products, improving theintrinsic quality and reducing cigarette tar and nicotine content. This thesis explores the low weight of paper making tobacco sheet papermaking process, through the morphology analysis of tobacco sheet papermaking raw materials, studies onbeating and characteristics of mixing papermaking for low weight tobacco sheet, studies onthe retention and drainage aids and strength additives and the coating method to provide somereference to produce the paper making of low weight tobacco sheet which weight between35-40g/m2, the research results show:The tobacco stem fibers are long and look like a narrow strip, thin wall and large lumen, and easy to be fibrillated; tobacco debris fiber cells are stubby, thin wall, large lumen, easy tobe broken and difficult to be fibrillated. Tobacco debris contain large amount of parenchymacells.Tobacco stems pulp and tobacco powder slurry are not suitable for mixed-beating,improving pulp beating degree of the tobacco pulp can solve the problem of strengthdeclining which was caused by weight reduced, but at the same time it will affect theperformance of tobacco sheet′s bulk and absorption properties; in order to ensure thestrength performance of the tobacco sheet, the tobacco stems slurry appropriate to take amoderate beating; because the tobacco powder slurry has a lot of fines and hard to befibrillated, so it is only suitable to take low beating; the bulk and absorption properties of thetobacco substrate is very sensitive to the squeezing pressure, bulk and absorption propertiessignificantly decreased when the squeezing pressure slightly increases; the best mixing ratioof smoke mixing and outer mixing slurry is6:1.The retention and drainage aids studies show that the combined effect of the chitosan ispreferably, when the Chitosan′s add dosage at0.5%, in addition to the slight adverse effect onthe absorption properties, the retention of tobacco pulp and PCC and the wet tensile strengthof tobacco sheet significantly increased, while the tensile strength and bulk of tobacco sheet also has a certain increased.Studies on coating method shows that the optimum solid content of the coating liquidwas41.2%, when the solids content is more than50%, it will produce small solid particles, seriously affecting the uniformity of the coating; the spray coating is easy to obtain a highcoating rate but difficult to control the coating evenness compared to the bar coater anddouble roll coating. The best papermaking conditions: tobacco powder pulp beating degree of30o SR,tobacco stems pulp beating degree of40o SR, the qualities of coniferous pulp beating degreeof50o SR, hemp pulp beating degree of30o SR, papermaking slurry ratio for tobacco dustpulp: tobacco stems pulp: natural coniferous pulp: hemp pulp: PCC=13:8:2:1:1.5, thechitosan amount of0.5%, and the coating solution concentration of41.2%.
