In the production process of papermaking reconstituted tobacco,the separation of raw material is crucial,which determines the quality of pulp and directly affect the quality of subsequent papermaking and reconstituted tobacco.In this study,the tobacco waste(tobacco stems,mixed pieces and mixed end)and semi-material after extraction are raw material,by simulating the idea of low concentration of beating in high yield pulp,based on the systematic analysis of the chemical composition of the material,to spread out a more comprehensive study on mechanical separation and chemical pretreatment and mechanical separation of the raw material.Through the analysis of chemical composition and fiber morphology of the raw material,the tobacco waste used in this research has typical characteristics of tobacco.Although there were some differences between the raw materal in the research and other enumerative tobacco species,the differences were within a reasonable range.The study of microstructures showed that the cells of mixed end were large cavity,thin wall and arranged in neat rows,the cells of mixed pieces were fragments of tobacco leaf tissue,they had few fiber in the traditional sense of pulping and papermaking,tobacco stems contained a certain amount of fiber,therefore the pulping adaptability of tobacco material was poor.In the traditional sense of pulping and papermaking,the mainly composed of papermaking reconstituted tobacco was miscellaneous cells,so the key factors to the plots of intensity was not or to a great extent was not the hydrogen bonding between the fiber.The raw material after extraction,all components had different degrees of stripping,the minimum extraction rate was 56.82%,the highest extraction rate was 80.82%.The cells of semi-material became loose disorderly,part of the cells had ruptured broken solution.The study of mechanical separation of semi-material showed that the hydration process had a promoting effect on separation,the mechanical separation of refining process was divided into two stages,the first was ease under a big distance for a long time,the second was finishing under a small distance for a short time.Under optimum conditions,the point average size and standard deviation of the area of the slurry were low,0.20mm2 and 0.17,indicating the pulp was delicate and the size uniformity was good,in this condition the tensile index of the papermaking reconstituted tobacco was 27.5 N-m/g.The study of chemical pretreatment and mechanical separation of semi-material showed that pretreatment with a mixture of acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide treatment could promote the separation,so was the mixture of urea and calcium hydroxide.Under optimum conditions,the tensile index of the papermaking reconstituted tobacco were 19.5 N·m/g and 20.4 N·m/g,after furnished long fiber,the tensile index were 35.2 N·m/g and 37.3 N-m/g,could meet industrial continuous production.The study of mechanical separation of tobacco stems under pretreatment with the mixture of urea and calcium hydroxide showed that pretreatment with the mixture of urea and calcium hydroxide could promote the separation of tobacco stems,under the experimental conditions,the optimal dose of urea and calcium hydroxide were 1.0%,the tensile index of papermaking reconstituted tobacco compared to the untreated group improved up to 17.01%.Contributed to the strength,the pretreatment of tobacco stems as good as the pretreatment of semi-material.
