The unreasonable utilization of coal resources had a negative impact on ecological environment. Studies have shown that the large area of ground subsidence in coal mine has directly resulted in the damage of mine ecological environment. Therefore, while people worked in the protection and restoration of mine ecological environment, it is vital to predict the formation of ground subsidence and assess the loss of ecological environment caused by subsidence. In this research, we selected a typical mine of northern Shanxi Province as the research object, By analyzing the reason why the subsidence is formed, the degree of ground subsidence is predicted with probability integration method. According to the damaged area and degree, the situation of ecological environment in subsidence area is assessed by ecological service value theory and some proposals for ecological restoration were offered consulting the assessment result. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The impact analysis of surface subsidence caused by coal mining on the value of ecosystem services shows that the ground subsidence broke the original natural balance of the ecosystem, although the degree of influence over the land types varies, They are basically negative.(2) According to the general geology, the mining plan of study area and the ground subsidence predicted with probability integration method, the results show that the total damaged area of the subsidence is373.81hm2, mild damaged area is310.54hm2and moderately damaged area is63.27hm2; the maximum subsidence value is4080.4mm and the maximum horizontal deformation isĀ±13.483mm/m.(3)1In this article, we select ecological service value as the standard measure of the ecological environment quality and discuss the theory of ecosystem services value. In this way, we develop the ecosystem services value scalecharta before and after ground subsidence damage before and after of coal mining area. (4) Combining the coal mining damage area and per unit area change of the ecosystem services value on the different damage extent, calculate the total net loss of ecosystem service value of pre and post damage of the study area is686,917.28yuan.(5) According to the differences of damage situation in subsidence area, we put forward restoration proposals as adaptation to local conditions, rational planning, emphasis on focus and grading management suggestions of.
