Acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive is inflammable just because it is mainlycomposed of C,H and O. It’s applications are limited. The flame retardantmodification of the pressure-sensitive adhesive has important significance. Thetraditional methodthat add flame retardant to the acrylate pressure-sensitiveadhesive will decrease the sensitivity. In this paper, Composite flame-retardantpressure-sensitive adhesive was researched in order to to realize the balance of theflame retardance and the compression sensitivity.Diethyl(acryloyloxyethyl)phosphonate was synthesized from phosphorusoxychloride, hydroxyethyl acrylate and ehanol. The factors on the reaction, suchas the ratio of reactants, reactive temperature, acid caputor and reactive time werestudied. The purity and structure of the product was confirmed by HPLC,iodometric method and FTIR. It was found that, when the ratio of phosphorusoxychloride and hydroxyethyl acrylate was1.2:1, methylene dichloride as solvent, reaction temperature was15℃, triethylamine as acid caputor, reaction time was12h,the yields were80%, while the purity was96%.The noumenal flame-resistant adhesives was synthesized by solutionpolymerization with BA,2-EHA, VAc, MMA, AA and the monomer containingphosphate which was made by myself. The proportion of monomers and thecorrespondinginfluenceswerestudiedindetail. Then the best proportion ofmonomers and the corresponding influences were determinated. It was found thatthe monomer containing phosphate was useful to enhance the flame retardance andthe compression sensitivity.Blending the flame resistance APP and NHFR diferently withthe noumenalflame-resistant adhesives(the amount rate of the monomer containing phosphate is18%) and the adhesives without the monomer containing phosphate. The resultsshowed that the flame retardant ability of the noumenal flame-resistant adhesivescan be achieved with mixing a small amount of the flame retardant. Then the flameretardant had a little influence on the adhesive properties. It was also found that the flame retardance of APP was stronger than NHFR. NHFR had a smaller effecton the adhesive properties than APP.
