Based on the aim of improving strip shape in xin steel hot rolling Plant, the basictheory,control strategy, control technology of flatness control, and the roll contour wereresearched systematically in this paper. And optimized the control system combinedwith the production site.The roll deformation theory、technology、impact equipment and control strategy ofthe shape control was researched in this paper. Combined with the production site, theshape control ideas were cleared; In order to ensure better cooperation with the workroll and backup-roll, improve the rolling stability, reduce the roll wear and flakingaccident, though a series of analysis on the R2、F1-F7roller, the roll-type andconfiguration for work roll and back-up roll were designed optimizely. According to theImai Ichiro energy consumption distribution method, establish the function loaddistribution model. Optimization calculation was used for the present rolling scheduleby the function method. The test results show that the optimization of rolling schedule,shows a strong advantage for thin-gauge shape control, and the shape quality wasimproved effectively during the production process by the function method.The main research content of the paper, which was of great practical applicationvalue, was focused on the online control of hot strip mill. Though in depth study of thetheory, identify the reasonable control ideas, and combined with the actual site, find outthe optimal control strategy and regulation means. The optimum design methods of theCVC work-roll shape and the backup roll CVC-plus contour were introduced. Reducingthe edge flaking of the backup roll greatly, and improve the hit rate of the strip crown and wedge. Simultaneously by use the function method, the load distribution has beenfurther optimized, shape quality has improved, especially it shows strong controladvantage in rolling cold-rolled thin-gauge materials.
