Mining dump truck have a great efficiency of load and haul, and suit to drive at off-road,because of this, it is widely used in the strip coal mines, strip metal mines, hydroelectric projects,big construction projects, cement projects, stone mines, and strip coating of mines, and so on.Since2008, because of the loading quantity, suitable price, good vehicle stability, etc, three-axlemining dump truck have developed rapidly past few years, and gradually occupying the sales ofthe traditional two-axle mining trucks and on-road trucks.Frame is the one of the most important components in mining truck, it is the base of the otherassemblies. It supports the deadweight of other assemblies, the force caused by the loadingmaterial, and dynamic loads caused by different work condition. Because of the bad road andwork condition, the frame has to bear the kinds of impact load, torsional load, alternate load, so itmust have enough intensity, rigidity and fatigue resistance. Meanwhile, we shall optimize theframe to gain a lighter weight in order to improve the market competitiveness and to save theprecious steel material.This thesis took the frame of YT3621three-axle mining truck as research object. It analyzedthe structure and working process of the research object, established mechanical model, and builtdigital prototype by CAD. Then analysis of the stress and strain by ANSYS in nine typical workconditions, researched the analysis results, and verified if the results were consistent with theactual. Meanwhile, depending on the results of the analysis, we could ameliorate the structure ofthe frame where there had a weak link. After the improving, analyzed the frame by ANSYS again,and took an experimental verification, if the result was good, then put it into effect. The fact wasthat the improved frame had very low failure rate, which further approved the veracity of analysisand calculation of this thesis.The research production of this thesis have had put into action already, and also be theguidance to direct the R&D of the frame of mining truck later. So it can shorten the period ofproduct development, save a lot of money, and increase the marketing competitiveness. The improved Yutong’s YT3621mining truck has had solved the crack in the frame where the miningarea have very bad work conditions, and has put into quantity production. The frame alreadybecame the YT3621mining truck’s highlight and selling point. It is the solid foundation toincrease the three-axle mining truck’s market occupancy steadily.
