Substituted pyrrole is a privileged heretocycle and key skeleton in many naturalproducts, pharmaceuticals and novel advanced materials. Thus, great efforts havebeen devoted to construct such a structure. However, the procedures reported inliteratures suffer from multi-step synthesis, tedious workup and purification. In theview point of the atom economy and green chemistry, one-pot synthesis is muchdesired.In this thesis, the weak base-promoted “one-pot” synthesis of poly-substitutedpyrroles from cheap amines and ynones as substrates under metal free conditions hasbeen developed. Michael addition reaction of amine with ynone and intramolecularC-nucleophilic attack at the enone moiety of the resultant enamnones were involvedin this transformation. A wide variety of substituted pyrroles were obtained in goodto excellent yields for25examples. This transformation features with highregioselectivity, high efficiency, large range of functional group tolerance,environmental friendliness and metal free.
