As the salt rock own good airtight and permeability, after the excavation of cavernsin salt rock for oil, natural gas and other energy provides good storage space. Thecaverns in salt rock building are not only the country’s strategic energy reserves willhave an important significance, but will also provide strong support for the social andeconomic development of our country. However, in recent years, some accidents ofcaverns in salt rock have a big impact on local communities and the environment. Saltrock in China has its own characteristics, and the construction of salt rock reservoir ismore complex than abroad. So, the stability studies of time-varying layered salt rockstorage library have practical significance.According to the short-term and long-term mechanical properties of salt rock andlaminated salt rock, experimental results, and the reference section of salt rock researchneeds related parameters, and then the three-dimensional numerical model using theABAQUS finite element software to create a different situation. The model can simulatethe excavation and running in considering the ground stress under the influence ofcaverns in salt rock. And relevant factors affect the stability of caverns in laminated saltrock can be analyzed. The results of the analysis show that the mudstone interlayerinhibits the volume shrinkage of cavern in salt rock and extends the service life of thecavern in salt rock. With the increase in the width of the pillar between caverns inlaminated salt rock, the pillar plastic zone decreases. When the pillar width is2timeshole diameter, the plastic zone of pillar does not have phenomenon of linking up. Thewidth of the pillar volume contraction, there is no obvious regularly that the pillar widthof affect volume shrinkage of the cavern in laminated salt rock. Therefore, a reasonablewidth of the pillar is recommended to take2times the hole diameter; he internalpressure significant impact with the stability of the caverns in laminated salt rock, In therole of the internal pressure of6MPa, volume shrinkage of the cavern in laminated saltrock decreases faster, reduced by more than25%in30years. The cavern in laminatedsalt rock should pay attention to in the actual operation pressure is not too small, and tointernal pressure as an important factor to ensure the safe operation of rock salt storagecaverns; Regular triangle arrangement than quadrilateral layout in the cavern planelayout of forms, and hexagonal arrangement is more stable. And regular trianglearrangement of salt rock space can be more fully utilized. Accordingly, the plane layout in the form of regular triangle-shaped plane layout is optimal.
