This paper analyzes the present situation and trend of development of the sewagetreatment plant for upgrading of municipal water treatment plants,analyzing quality of waterand Technical solution for Weinan sewage treatment plant upgrading of municipal watertreatment plants in details. By analyzing the actuality of water consumption and thedevelopment of Weinan, we are predicting the effluent water quality and quantity in Weinansewage treatment plant. Compared with two kinds of sewage treatment technologies, we arechoosing the best solution by comprehensive analysis. The article introduces main designparameters and the technology characteristics of Water treatment reactor for recommendedprocess. The result is as follows:(1)Through the data, the first phase of the construction including60000m3/d put intooperation formally in December of2006. The second phase of the construction including40000m3/d put into operation formally in November of2011. The suggested assurance rateof Weinan Wastewater Treatment Plant in this study is90percentages, the influent qualityis deduced as477mg/L,320mg/L,275mg/L,40mg/L,45mg/L and4.18mg/L for COD,BOD5, SS, NH3-N, TN and TP respectively.(2)According to water treatment and water quality requirements and considering thecurrent wastewater treatment technology and development trend, in combination withtechnical and economical index and management difficulty is chosen BAF as the mainresearch programme for this paper in the finally(3)It is a key step that how to chose the advanced treatment process to ensure that thewater form the Weinan sewage treatment meet the standard after deciding the two stagebiological treatment. In the finally we choose the advanced treatment process which isfeasible and economically reasonable after in terms of holistic optimization, combined withthe design size, the characteristics of the in and out of the water and the local actualconditions. Compared with tech economy, we determine mechanical mixing corrugated plateprecipitation reaction and V-filter which is the best solution for this upgrading of municipalwater treatment plants.(4)When we disposed the wastewater, it could produce a large amounts of excess sludgewhich including the moisture content and great bulk. For facilitating the transportation ofsludge and reducing transportation costs, we have to reduce the sludge volume beforetransporting to the landfill dumps. Finally, we decided to choose compost programs.
