With RTV block methyl silicone rubber(QD-231) as polymer matrix, nanometerbarium titanate(nano-BaTiO3) and plant fibers as fillers, two-phase and three-phasecomposite materials were prepared by tape casting crosslinked with methyltriethylsilaneoligomer and dibutyltin dilaurate respectively. The bamboo fiber was modified withdifferent methods including heat treatment, alkali treatment and a combination of alkaliand coupling agent respectively. This paper mainly focuses on materials’ electricalproperties such as dielectric properties, breaking strength and so on. their microstructureand thermomechanical behavior were characterized by FTIR, DSC and XRD.The experimental results show that the properties of composite materials filled withheat-treated BaTiO3is obviously better than that treated by coupling agent. The electricalproperty increases firstly and then decreases with the content of barium titanate. Whenthe amount of BaTiO3dried is45wt%, the composite material shows the best electricalproperty. The addition of plant fibers can significantly improve electrical properties ofBaTiO3/silicone rubber composite material, The best content of fibers for the material is1wt%. The properties of the composite materials with fiber treated by alkali and couplingagent successively is much better than the other two kinds of composite materials. Whenthe content of fibers and powders are1wt%and45wt%, the electrical property of thecomposite material is the best. Cypress wood fiber (80mesh)/BaTiO3/silicone rubbercomposite material shows a better performance than cypress wood fiber(40mesh)/BaTiO3/silicone rubber composite material. While miscellaneous wood(80mesh)/BaTiO3/silicone rubber composite material is slightly better than cypress woodfiber(80mesh)/BaTiO3/silicone rubber composite material. When the content ofmiscellaneous wood(80mesh) and BaTiO3heat-treated is1wt%and45wt%, theelectrical properties of the composite is the best.
