This paper consists of four chapters. The first chapter is introduction. We introduce the concept of glycine, the synthesisprocess, the application and harmful to human health, present situation analytical methods, significance and future prospects. In chapter two, a method for the determination of the glycine content in milk byhigh-performance capillary electrophoresis with ninhydrin derivatization was established. Themethod was used for the selective determination of the glycine content. The magnesiumchlorate was first applied to precipitate protein. Measurement conditions were optimized, theresults were accuratte and reliable. This method was suitable for the determination of theglycine content in milk.In chapter three, we discusse the function of the commercial thermostat temperaturecontrol system instead of GC oven column. The different types of GC, samples and thecolumns evaluated the temperature control system of GC. The results showed that the systemmet the design requirements and it had a good practicability. In chapter four, the related performance tester of transformer oil acid valuedertermination instrument was tested. This was the first time to apply this instrument todetermine acid value of butyl acrylate practical samples. The best experimental conditionswere determined. The determination results showed that this method had simple operation, rapid measurement, accurate results. In a word, transformer oil acid value determination usedfor determining butyl acrylate acid value has a very high application value.
