Research And Manufacturing Of Wire Drawing Die Aperture Measuring Apparatus

With the rapid development of machinery industry, quality and precisionrequirements of aperture manufacture and measurement have become increasingly high.The precision measurement of aperture has been always a difficult problem in the lengthmeasurement. The accuracy of the hole on the wire drawing dies has a direct impact onthe quality of the wire drawings. As a result, aperture measuring system with highprecision plays an important role in producing the wire drawing dies.In this paper, based on the study and comparison of the various existing aperturemeasuring devices and principles, a new type measurement of aperture precisemeasuring system is proposed. Optical lens is used as an optoelectronic receiver, motioncontrolling card is adopted for controlling stepper motor, digital image processing isalso employed, and then the precision measurement of the hole on the wire drawing diesis realized. The measuring system researched in this paper can achieve automaticmeasurement functions, with fast operation speed and high efficiency. The result ofmeasuring is accurately and few errors. It can fulfill different requests on the wiredrawing dies manufacturing.The research work of subject is organized by the following five facts:First of all, the concept of the wire drawing dies is introduced and existing devicesand principles of the aperture diameter measurement are listed. And then thedevelopment trend of the aperture measuring instruments at home and abroad is studied.As a result, the background of this topic is raised.Secondly, according to the characteristics of the target and the measuringrequirements, a kind of measurement diameter which is based on photoelectric measureis performed. Combined with the operating principle of the measuring system, thedesign scheme of the measurement is studied out. And then the types of the equipmentand instruments are defined.Thirdly, the appropriate equipment and instruments of the measuring system isdescribed in detail, including the selection, the characteristics, and the connection. Andthen the ability and program of the controlling system is designed.Fourthly, the appropriate digital image processing is selected to analyze andprocess the images in measurement, including the image edge extraction and distortion correction, in order to get the result of measuring which is clarity and accurate.At last, the system is debugged and run to realize its functional and measurementaccuracy and reliability. The possible errors are detected and the appropriateamendments are proposed. And then the result of measuring is displayed and the sensesof data are analyzed.
