Crushing force is the design basis of the stiffness and strength of Jaw crusher’s parts, and it is also the original data of motor selection. Crushing force could influence the reliability and the service life of Jaw crusher directly. The calculation method and acting position of Jaw crushers’ crushing force are not identical Viewed from the current researches, sufficient study on crushing force of Double-Cavity Jaw Crusher is lacking. In-depth discuss on it is not only provide the basis to the design of Double-Cavity Jaw crusher, but also has very important practical significance to the basic theory of Double-Cavity jaw crusher.In this paper, we studied the2PE150×2000Double-Cavity Jaw crusher. The law in the crushing force and the pressure distribution of truss plate were analyzed, and verified by the experiments.1. The movement of moving jaw and the change of effective crushing cavity were analyzed by speed instantaneous center method. And the variation coefficient of effective crushing cavity, which was for quantitative calculation of crushing force, was put forward. Then we amend the calculation formula of the maximum crushing force.2.Combined with discrete element analysis software, numerical simulati on was studied on crushing force under specified conditions, such as multipl e discharge openings, various particle sizes and different compressive strengt h. Then contrast analysis was operated between model results and theoretical results of the crushing force. The results of DEM analysis are closed to the correction formula calculation results3. Along longitudinal of the teeth plate, the crushing force is becoming greater downwards along the teeth plate. Along transverse of the teeth plate, because of the edge effect, the crushing force is becoming greater close to the center. Based on the fuzzy random theory and trajectory of teeth plate longitudinal, the biggest crushing force point is located at278mm from the bottom of crushing cavity, and the crushing force distribution of teeth plate is analyzed. According to the crushing force distribution, teeth plate stress is analyzed by ANSYS.4. The thrust of toggle plate is tested, calculate the maximum crushing force on the teeth plate, and analysis the horizontal crushing force distribution on the teeth plate. Then the rationality of the theory and simulation is verified.
